My name is Jesse Ryan Jensen, and I am the Founding Director of the Internet Science Museum, or SciMu.
Human civilization has been going through very difficult times, culturally, politically, and socio-economically in the last hundred years, or longer. Never before in recorded history has the entire globe been “one place.”
These are the strongly held values I think visitors and potential contributors should know about myself, and I hope they will guide the Museum into the future in the best possible way:
Freedom of information, the right to privacy, freedom from surveillance, the presumption of innocence
That a human soul is created at conception, never having existed before, and should have all the rights of an innocent person, especially protection from harm
That the human reproductive system is made of one biological male and one biological female uniting only consensually to create new human life
That the parents of a child should teach them how to live out their created goodness in this world, to be healthy and to hold strong values
Cooperative economics, with its “one person, one vote” design, gives humanity the best possibility to survive, and is the most ethical; that conversely, the kind of economics that seeks to profit over others and exploit natural resources for private gain is immoral and should be illegal
All countries should modify their self-defense strategy and weapons stockpiles to no longer include weapons of mass destruction, including but not limited to total denuclearization of their military, and no chemical or biological weapons; that conversely, the peaceful development of clean nuclear energy gives bright promise to universal prosperity in a democratic world
No spaying or neutering of animals, whether pets or not; no use of waste in food production; no animal testing; yes on animal rights, while protecting native animal communication patterns (protection from human information corrupting wild populations); recognition that plants and fungi (etc.) are living beings
A light footprint on the Moon, while a heavy footprint on Mars
Return of sailing ships for ocean travel and shipping; the total protection of marine species from boat strike, finning, or overfishing, including physically stopping any harmful way of fishing; no whaling
Rideshare should provide a vast majority of transit, autonomous vehicles can replace human drivers according to citizens’ choice at the local level, and a vast general reduction of the “everybody owns a car” paradigm
No needle jabs or other harmful so-called medical practices; no putting toxins or diseases into people, no matter how the intent is construed as beneficial (it is wrong)
No harm of civilians, intentional or accidental; strict punishment of any government or group that commits harm to civilians, especially the banning of any regime that commits genocide (the end of any form of collective punishment or guilt projection/transference)
MY PRAYER IS THAT THESE VALUES WILL HELP LIFT YOU UP
